Are you looking for a simple daily routine to help you conquer your day and add more ease and flow to your life?
Whether you love or hate mornings, you can create an effective routine that sets the tone for a more productive, healthy, and focused day.
Let me guide you through the M.A.G.I.C. Formula I designed to support my vitality and productivity. It is a proven practice that added many magical moments to my days, allowed me to master my emotions, and reframed my daily experiences for the better.
Through this practice, you will learn to lead from a state of flow while being intentional about your daily actions to stay committed to your success and create momentum toward your dream life.
Follow these five simple practices and use the journal prompts to help create your perfect routine:

Your body holds a pool of wisdom you can access by expressing yourself through movement. Daily purposeful motion gives you direct access to your body’s unconscious messages and information.
“Issues are in the tissues.” When we intentionally move our bodies, tensions are unblocked, and our feminine energy is released! A gentle sway or jumping around your house allows your body to take over and move the way it needs to recharge, heal, or reconnect to your inner wisdom.
Starting with movement sends the right signals to your body and sets you on the right path for the day. Ashley Richmond at Medium states, “Movement releases cortisol and endorphins and increases your core temperature and circulation, which makes you more alert, full of energy, and ready to focus.”
So, dance, wave your arms, shake your legs, or do a workout by moving to your rhythm. Don’t let the word “Dance” scare you! It just means Defeat All Negativity with Creative Expression! This activity is about releasing control, letting go of perfection, moving your body as it wants, and allowing the motion to happen freely without judgment.
Start your morning by losing yourself in this curated Fire and Flow playlist I use with my Fire and Flow Leadership clients. If you’re not physically able to dance, use your mind to move your spirit. Your body will appreciate the gift of surrendering and free-flowing movement.
How does my body feel at this moment? Should I put soothing or energizing songs on my playlist today?

An action without an intention or purpose equates to a loss of energy. You must practice delving deeper and listening to your intuition to focus your efforts. Your intuition is one of the most powerful tools to guide your life journey. Psychological Scientist Joel Pearson says, “…we can use (our intuition) an unconscious information in our body or brain to help guide us through life, to enable better decisions, faster decisions, and be more confident in the decisions we make.”
When you listen to your intuition—that gentle whisper—you act with more purpose and alignment and start effortlessly creating the life you want. We are preconditioned to keep ourselves busy thinking about checklists while our bodies know what we are energized to do. When you are excited about your aligned action, it will get done faster and with more inspiration.
We all have daily priorities and access to inner wisdom. Through the practice of slowing down and reflecting on, ‘Which task am I most motivated to do today?’, an answer will surface. When you align yourself with that inner knowing, you’ll unlock ease and creativity. Focus on what brings joy and stay committed to your vision; the rest follows.

Gratitude is one of the most incredible feelings you can give yourself and others. When it becomes a daily practice, you will experience more presence, happiness, and energy to tackle each day.
Gratitude creates so many wonders in your life. This practice helps you realize how many things, circumstances, and events you take for granted and teaches you to appreciate the little things as much as the big stuff. When we are in a headspace of gratitude, being in a victim mentality is impossible. Being grateful gives you the strength to appreciate, even when facing challenges and setbacks.
Gratitude has many benefits, from improving our health to increasing our resilience. This infographic by Adalia B. John summarizes the importance of this daily practice:

So, how do you practice gratitude? Start by creating a gratitude journal like the Five Minute Journal or your own. Whether in the morning, the evening, or both, list three things you are grateful for today, three good things that happened yesterday, or three things you would love to see or feel more throughout the coming day. Finish your practice by putting a subtle smile on your face and gently placing your hands over your heart while visualizing what you are primarily grateful for.
Before your head touches the pillow at night, reflect on this question to nurture more gratitude into your life:

Consciously creating a positive impact throughout your day is a mindfulness practice that will generate cherished moments. You have more impact on others than you can imagine. In this context, the impact is about creating a positive influence around you, which can be through small or big interactions.
This conscious practice is about believing that you matter and have many gifts to share with the world. It is about acting intentionally from a heart-centered place, spreading love, joy, laughter, and support without expectations. It can be as simple as smiling at a stranger, sending thoughtful messages, supporting a local business, or actively listening to someone sharing their wins, troubles, or unfiltered story.
Before you start your day, ask yourself:
This impact reaches its peak when the positivity we bestow on others uplifts them so they can pass on their happiness to others. By doing this, even the slightest impact can have far-reaching results.

Intentional connections are essential for us to feel balanced and joyful in our lives, especially after the lingering consequences of the 2020 pandemic on our social lives.
This last practice of the MAGIC habits formula is about initiating connections with others, making an extra effort to foster meaningful relationships, and cultivating strong bonds with people.
The Canadian Mental Health Association states, “Social connection can lower anxiety and depression, help us regulate our emotions, lead to higher self-esteem and empathy, and improve our immune systems.” Many of us have abruptly lost that connection, and countless people struggle with loneliness and isolation. Yet, we all have the magic touch that can put a smile on someone else’s face.
This practice is about nurturing your connections or sparking new ones. It is not about becoming an extrovert or a social butterfly. You can shape your routine to what makes sense and to what degree you choose to nourish your relationships.
As a personal practice, I keep three unique coins on my desk, and I flip each one every time I connect with someone, give a compliment, initiate a gathering, or share praise. These coins remind me daily to be intentional and bring my heart to every interaction, discussion, or communication.
Through these simple daily practices, you will start to look forward to each day with vigour. You’ll find you’re no longer smacking the snooze button, and instead, you get up with a grateful heart and start making your magic!
You are the designer of your life. Feel free to personalize your daily routine to accommodate your definition of success and the seasons of your life. If five steps seem too many to implement, try including one or two into your day, and you will be amazed at the difference it makes.
